Some pictures of what I've been up to. When I get the camper side of the build sort I was gona paint the chassis and I was wondering if spraying or brushing would be better? Both will be messy but will spraying get at more without taking the back off?

It was mentioned to me elsewhere that aero board type insulation could be good especially if covering the panels with ply or other sturdier material. Any body try this? Really cheap and easily worked with I'd imagine.

So I've done a bit more this weekend. Started on the camper conversion. Have re plyed some of the rear, a fold out bed / bench seat made. And for today the shelving , sink and cooker. As I got it. as I got it New ply for the arches. Bed Seat Seat stored away.

See that now... How do you rate it? I'm waiting on mine..

There is a 12v fuse board available which I will be using on my project. It just needs a supply and has an led for each fuse to show if the fuse has blown. I think it should be handy for the extras I will have on the aux battery. http://m.ebay.ie/itm/371021686450

Gave the back door a lick of paint on the inside. Only meant to paint what would be behind the ply but got carried away! Also picked up a new(er) set of seats with all mats and other bits. Collecting a set of 8 spoke steel rims with insa turbo Sahara's tomorrow.

It would be a good investment and would get plenty of use with my 110.

Am looking at getting a mig meant to be easier to get a good weld. The little aldi arc is capable enough for the moment.

I stuck an air gun into the frame and got a cloud of brown dust. But still fairly solid. The thickness of the metal made it quite difficult and I blew a few holes but got them fixed. The aluminum strip holding the window in was rotten so have to replace that. Had started rubbing down the chassis...

So since I've bought it I haven't done much with it. Changed the oil, took the bull bars and bumper off and stripped them. Had the front left wing off to try sort out the damage to the bottom corner but looks like it needs to be welded or New wing. Started on the rear door removing the scrappy...

Ah I was looking at the price in Euro. The vinyl spray you used looks well could it be used on the dash?

So I've been looking into getting my own mig welder and doing the repair myself but the repair sections available from yrm are for the front and wont actually cover the rear where the hole is. Is there much point in getting the repair panels then. Also is there a guide on how to do it? I did...

I am intending to do something similar. I found another site useful: Expedition portal. Go to the land rover section. Seems to more of our US cousins on the site but still great info there.

Other than getting a new cam belt into the 2.5n/a what else should I do before doing the swap? Obviously new filters but anything else? Suppose I could replace all the belts while the engine is out..
