I've heard of people using the 4bt engine but I don't know how easy it would be to find an engine or if it would be easier to install. Would certainly be lighter..

Cheers aaron. Was looking for a ball park figure. I was planning on putting a 2.5n/a engine in till I saved up the funds for a 6bt. Currently it has a 2.5td with 212k miles. Best of luck with the build and put up loads of pictures!

Other than looks..does an exhaust stack serve any purpose? Was thinking of exhaust stack on the front that would be mounted like a snorkel on the side of the windscreen.. I thought I saw one somewhere..

On their website it shows it being used in an attic space. I will probably line it with the thermawrap and then have aeroboard sheets in the large panels best of both worlds.

I tried heating with a blow torch the cooling it quickly with air from compressor. It did straighten out the dents and dings a fair bit but not completely. seen it on YouTube..

I want insulation and ply on the roof so might cut the ply into strips to get a bit of a curve. Then any little gaps or holes will be filled with expanding foam. And then paint the lot..

@CalumM thats the exact stuff I was thinking of using. And maybe some cheap aeroboard too. Then cover with 5mm ply..

That video was what inspired my build. I'm still working on the units and fitting the sliding doors at the minute. If you intend on sleeping in it insulation is a must. I haven't slept in the 110 but apparently condensation can be very bad. Insulating is my next task. Have a look at expedition...
