just an update, i managed to get the locks working again by playing with them multiple times, then got it started by discconecting the battery and starting with key in position 2/ got out the car and locked it via key ( still no central locking) got back in and now wont fire up again, it...

ive serched the net and this forum for hours literally, tried every method of resynching / entering generic code. etc. all failed, the central locking module motor things cold be at fault but its a bit wierd they went as soon as key was snapped, just at wits ends with it
