Don't have the haynes one though I found a chassis plan on the internet but it is a bit vague about where the datum is, it shows it at some undefined point just in front of the rear face of the rear cross member, but all other measurements seem OK. What should the door gap be?

That's the way it seemed to me but the wire to the solenoid is connected into a load of other circuits which all come to the ign. sw. via a thick, white wire and I have it in the same position on the switch as another one I have looked at so I was a bit confused.
