Last year Old Smokey got treated to a stunning new engine (diesel). About a month after I picked it up from the wizards at GroundZero 4WD, I was happily chugging along a forest road when I bumped into a rotary rake. Well, I wasn't doing the bumping, but the rake did. Result? Not good at all...

I am considering fitting Old Smokey with three auxiliary meters a la Smiths; oil pressure, volt meter and a clock in the same style. Could anyone put me in the right direction of a seller?

I ended up buying a new one.

At best, a Series brake system is reliable and decently effective. At worst... it's non-existent. I'd redo it all and set up an original parts system, changing everything from pedal to pads. You don't want a dodgy security system.

So I had a slight altercation with a tractor carrying a rotary rake last summer. The tractor won, but it is amazing how the new dents and holes matched the general condition of Old Smoky... o_O
