I just fixed my boot lock yesterday as it would only open from the outside with the key turned and handle pulled at same time and then to top it all off the barrel feel out :eek:. Its abit of a pain and fidly to fix but worth doing as all that needs replacing is the spring inside which costs...

I have a L reg 200tdi and i have a little oil leak, looks loads but oil level stays same, the source of the problem is the rocker cover (I'm told this is common). I spoke to a chappy and he said just change the seal, take the rocker cover off and replace the seal. Sounds easy and seal only cost...

Thanks Oil Dripper for this, as it has begun. I am going there in a min to go pick up my new lock spring and a rocker cover seal (as i have a teany leak). No doubt i will get in there and find something else i need. The chap was lovely on the phone and very helpful. Thanks again for the headsup.:D

I agree but i am confused as too the best course of action to treat the rust, i have read the forums all night and now feel alittle dazed by the options. Can anyone recommend where the rust is not to bad and only a tiny hole, can this be filled with ohh i dont know fiberglass and then smoothed...

I'm not an expert or claim to be brilliant but have you checked if the thermostate works properly? I'm sure this can be tested by removing and putting in a pan of water on ya cooker and then wait to see if it opens etc. Please tell me shut up if i'm wrong but just a suggestion as i had the same...
