Painted the rear crossmember and towing brackets. Considering take off the wing,bonnet door and windscreen to do the welding on the bulkhead, need the car monday though!

When i replaced mine, when the steering wheel was set so the wheels should have been pointing straight ahead like it did with the old drop arm, it sat to one side. So i put it all together and then just moved the steering wheel round a few splines to get it to all line up

It was not me who picked the bits up, it was a friend who saw it and picked them up. He asked me as he knows i have a series.

Not completley sure, a friend of mine saw the bits fall off and collected them, believe one piece is the grill.

Does anyone know reg NUF XXXP? I dont know that the numbers are. If anyone does know the owner, let them know i know where the bits that fell off their series this morning are!

Getting the wheels done would be the only thing holding me back, would have the done in a couple of days. I plan on doing full suspension and brakes on mine this year and shouldnt think it'll take more than a day

Never had a problem claiming tax back, takes 6 weeks max. I think you are over reacting, the new system is only different in that you can't transfer the tax, the rest of it is just the same.

Looked at it on the trailer at work. Got to find which part of the sump/ oil system that the prop broke and fix that, think its going to be welding up the sump. Then new front uj to fit and get back on the road.

Had just pulled out of a junction and was only in 2nd gear so no more than about 20. Had a quick look this morning before work ( its still on the bosses trailer in the yard ), could not see any holes, think it may have caught the pipe going off the side of the sump. Boss thinks we can weld it

Look dash apart and found it, break in the wire just behind the clocks. Bit of tape on it now to hold untill i get round to rewiring.

Took the defender to drop sister at school, visit grandma and pick up a pork pie from the butchers. Started the series for the first time in a couple of weeks, waiting untill the spring to start the rebuild but trying to keep it running over the winter incase i need family needs to tow anyone...
