Driving today, bit of a rumble and it just felt funny so was taking it easy.

Outside Holbeach and suddenly bang so pulled over and turned off engine, put hazards on.

Jumped out, front prop is no longer attatched at the diff end and there is engine oil everwhere, it appears to have put a hole in the sump.

Had to ring the boss to come and get me with the trailer. Further inspection in the daylight tomorrow

A pain but at least sump is easy to replace

Flailing about props can cause terrible damage

Glad you weren't going too fast

Had just pulled out of a junction and was only in 2nd gear so no more than about 20.

Had a quick look this morning before work ( its still on the bosses trailer in the yard ), could not see any holes, think it may have caught the pipe going off the side of the sump. Boss thinks we can weld it
