There is, or rather was, an EGR. The dipstick is on the passanger side.

My water pump looks to be situated in the middle, and the top and bottom hoses are at opposite ends of the rad.

That looks nothing like my thermostat housing.

Sorted. Filled via the expansion tank. it took about 7.5 litres, then I added another litre in the top of the rad. Bleed via the crappy black plastic bolt next to the thermostat. I took it out for a long run. It got up to temp quite quickly, but it took ages for any warm air to come out of...

Nice one. Cheers. But why is it not wide to mix coolents? What is, (or was untill last night), in mine was originally put in about 6 months ago, and is the green coloured stuff. What I have now is pink. According to the Haynes book of lies, the Disco takes 11.7 litres of coolent. Surely...

'What is HGF?' Expensive is usually the answer. When it comes to V8's, especially the 4.3's, 4.5's and 5.0's, HGF is uaually mistaken for a slipped bore liner. This is even more painfull on the piggybank.

Change both props ASAP. My front one broke at only 20mph and dam near came straight through the newly welded in 3mm floorpan. Honestly mate, a flailing prop will cut through a floorpan like a hot knife through butter. You will feel for all of about 10 seconds tops like all your wheels are...

Mine only started to whistle after I replaced the inlet / exhaust manifold gasket. I put it down to the fact that I shagged the threads on one, maybe two of the holes, therefore it isn't sealing properly. The whistling starts at about 2000rpm. It's kinda a whoooaa, whooOOAAAA, whoOOAAAA...
