    go get a rule and hold it out strait holding the tip, put a pound coin on it close to your fingers and note how it feels weight wise ,then put the the pound at the opposite end from what you are holding notice its a lot heavier this has the exact same effect on your wheel bearings the further...

    guys you don't need to touch the timing to change a head on a 300 tdi so yes he is fishing but always worth doing if you don't know when it was last done, no point in changing a head gasket for fun no, but if you use rad weld then you are asking for future probs if you had a leaking gasket then...

    buy one with as little rust as possible ones with lots of rust are worth nothing maybe 400-500 if they have solid motors so to find a really clean one expect to pay a lot more but make sure its clean and not just hidden get a chib oot and try find holes, they are not the hardest things to weld...

    try giving the bolts a tighten its a plastics gasket or it is on mine anyway. mine where slack but gaskets are pennys, i don't think they can leak anywhere but the gasket

    don't plug it unless you plan on wading in deep water or mud they don't have a plug as standard if your rear crank seal is the source of your leak then you will just build up oil in the bellhousing

    x2 on the inlet manifold and intercooler clean them out then remove the egr to keep it clean driving under 2000rpm wont really help im not saying rev the nuts off it but don't labor the engine 25mpg is around the 28mpg mark driven carefully
