    TD5 Broken Down

Looks like you've got the ECU in "limp home " mode. Find soneone with a Hawkeye, Nanocon or Testbook to sort youe problem. It may well be cheaper. airhook

    raining in

Sounds like a sunroof problem, but before taking the roof lining down, check your windscreen seal. Mine had a 1/4" gap @ the top corner, filled it with silicone, no problems there since. Best of luck, airhook

    D2 collapsing air suspension

52 plate TD5, Done a search & nothing seems to match. Replaced the bags 2 yrs ago,(they should last 6yrs+) Reading thru Rave, I suspect the compressor, the dump valve failing & letting the air out of the bag. It's an intermittement fault & I have a flashflood river 20 m away, so listening is no...

My disco is leaking electricity all over my drive!

Had a similar problem with my 52 plate D2. Just disconnected the big wire from the alternator & reconnected. The problem was gone! Don't know what the reason was, but that sorted it for me. Been OK for 6 months now.

300Tdi Auto - No drive (just clunking) unless difflock is engaged??

    Major Gear box overheating

Right, think logical, gearbox getting hot. 1 , Something's wrong in the box - bearings etc - change g/box 2 , G/box oil not getting to cooler - check g/box filters - if Ok, change G/box. I know it's not a great deal of help, but that what it looks like to me

    Strange noise ,can you help

Sounds like your front CV joint is shot. It'll sound fine when there's no drive to it, but when you put power down the drive-train it'll grumble.:(

    Oil light and no power?

TBH, sounds like a classic Turbo seal failure to me. No power - Turbo Smoke - Turbo Light on, on tick-over, - if Turbo seal is gone all the oil pressure will be lost through the blown Turbo seal & that's where the smoke comes from. Also in the aviation industry & had several, aviation, Turbo...

    Saggy Arse.

Just to warn you, if one bag's gone the other won't be far behind. They only last 6 or 7 yrs. Check this:- http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/air-bag-problems-96748.html It's really easy with the new push-fit couplings

    TD5 whining from belt area

    No, it's a f***ing great big nut, just use a cold-chisel.If I remember rightly, it's a left-hand thread. On mine I just gave it a sharp tap & it came undone.:D

Discovery 2 - air suspension drops

Part number for the bags is correct, but you'll also need 2 clips for each bag - P/N NTC9449. Make sure you get the bags with the new push-fit couplings, so you don't need to try & undo the 7or8 mm connectors on the top of them - just cut the pipe with a v. sharp knife as close as you can to the...
