It's a 2000 model and yes it's a petrol. The registration tax is too much for a deisel, hence me buying the petrol version. One other thing about the Freelander, mine has only one airbag for the driver obviously. I would have thought being a 2000 model it would have had two, or does this depend...

With the Landie coming to a hot climate will I be better removing the thermostat completely from the car to avoid the dangers during the initial warming up of the engine. Even this winter which is considered a cold one temps only got down as low as 9/10 degrees.
