Sounds similar mate, mines is closing on the right but not the left, bit of tlc should solve it. The previous owner gave me a spare screen but from what I can remember it it felt like the mechanism not the catch that was out of sync. The rear bumper parts arent too dear on ebay, I got the end...

Small update, the garage finally got around to getting it ready for MOT, so needed front disc and pads, a front caliper and 2 rear shocks. Not bad really. No welding and they said the chassis is very clean, almost as if it was replaced previously which is a huge bonus. The 4 springs are...

    Freelander for the winter

Hopefully, from the long term forecast from exactaweather i think Scotland's getting it tough the next 4 months. I've never considered Freelanders to be hardcore 4x4s but as my father in law said, if it was pish, Landrover wouldn't put their name on it.

My Landrover Collection (don't get too excited)

I own a used car business mate, the other 2 I bought as stock but I'm developing a thing for offroading after doing a far bit of quadding last year so might keep one for that. See how the snow is up here

My Landrover Collection (don't get too excited)

Picked up these over the last 2 weeks. The Classic is definitely a keeper, I've always promised myself one to restore so this ones ongoing. It's a 1994 300 tdi Auto Vogue Se with about 118k been in a barn since 2006. It's in for MOT Freelander is just an S reg 1.8 but with only 56k odd. Disco...

    Freelander for the winter

All good reading! It's just an s reg freelander 1 I have, do they have traction control as standard? I'm guessing so since it has hill descent. Should get it back motd today, back box, brake pipes and a track rod end. I can appreciate how people say they feel confident in them in the snow. They...

    Freelander for the winter

Thanks for all the replies guys! Its good to know it's no pussy then, my wife had an x5 last year and we sold it right in the bad weather because the deal was good. Got a 525d sport px, sold that and bought the 535d. Now I'm not wanting to have the wee one miss nursery or not be able to go open...

    Freelander for the winter

How good are these for the heavy snow? The hill descent was a huge bonus as I didn't know they had these. I stay pretty far out in the country and bought this for the missis to use as her 535d won't go anywhere. Hopefully not get stuck as I've just bought a RR classic and a 300tdi disco...

    Classic tire size help

**** don't tell me they might be dangerous! The previous owner told me the tires on it were probably be a bit small for the jeep. I've already bought a set of all terrains that are to big for a freelander I picked up for the snow. Now the RR as well, **** haha. Auch they should be fine for the...

Hi mate, the previous owner converted it to springs thankfully, although there is plenty of pros's to the air suspension I would have liked

    Freelander All Terrain tire help

Your right mate, I'll just keep it standard, the existing tires are like new, jut because they are cheap. I only bought it to sell during the snow anyways. Lift kit and spacers limits the marketplace! Haha
