Range Rover Parts Supplier (for Trade)

Hi Guys :) This post is meant mostly from those here involved in the trade... We're about to start undertaking full Range Rover 2010 Facelift conversions, and have completed our project car with outstanding success. We have a trade account with Land Rover but the discounts are low, and...

BMW >> Range Rover Sat Nav Firmware

Also, when did they change for mk3 to mk4 units in Range Rovers? My personal car is a late 2005 (facelfited bodyshape) so interested to find out. :) Lion Heart

BMW >> Range Rover Sat Nav Firmware

Hi again  Seems I have a mk3 unit and not mk4. Can I still upgrade the firmware?? Many thanks! Lion Heart

BMW >> Range Rover Sat Nav Firmware

Hi Pete:) Thanks for that - much apprreciated!!! I've taken a look at the link, and assume that it's the MK4 software I need rather than the Microcat and Rave?? What is Microcat and Rave? Nice to see I can upgrade to the 2010 RR screen - that will be a nice touch. Black instead of green...

BMW >> Range Rover Sat Nav Firmware

Hi Guys :) We have a 2004 Range Rover Vogue here and the sat nav unit was faulty... So managed to pick up a unit on eBay which is a BMW unit which is RR compatible. Plugged it in and works 100% a-ok!!! The problem: it now shows a BMW logo on the sat nav screen when you turn the ignition...

    Transfer Box Issue???

Hi guys :D We sent a 2005 Range Rover (facelift shape) into Land Rover today for the spline recall work as it makes a loud metallic humming/rubbing (similar to a digery doo!) osilating noise when going slowly uphill. After struggling to find the noise after attempting a hill at 30mph, I...

    2010 Facelift - Air Filter????

Great thanks for those!! Looks like we're going with K&N Universal cone. Ordered up and lets see! Lion Heart

    2010 Facelift - Air Filter????

Hi guys Yes, it is the headlights which cause the space issue and so a change of filter is required. I think the only way forward will be to use something like a K&N universal cone filter. For the diesel it is different again. Apparently the original air filter can stay in place but it is...

Noise when accelerating or going uphill slowly

Hi Ian [again!] Just thinking - can we call our local Land Rover dealership and ask them if it's been done? It's not a local car, and in the past we've had issues that not all Land Rover dealerships are joined by the same network. For example, to trace servicing on a car you cannot just call...

Noise when accelerating or going uphill slowly

Hi Ian Thanks for the fast feedback!! Assuming that Land Rover will be a pain and refuse the recall work, is it an expensive job to do? We're trade, so most likely can do it in-house, but is it a massive/costly job? Many thanks! Lion Heart

    2010 Facelift - Air Filter????

Hi Matt Thanks for the reply - much appreciated!! May I ask a couple of questions? 1) Did you do the conversion yourself or did you get it done by one of the specialists (DC4x4 etc)? 2) Is the K&N Air Filter like an induction kit (i.e. a cone on the end of a tube), or is it a new airbox with...

    2010 Facelift - Air Filter????

Hi guys Has anyone here had their 2003-2009 RR (PETROL) facelift converted to 2010 spec? If so, how did you/whoever did your conversion solve the air filter problem? We noted that the air filter will not fit our 2004 with the new 2010 bumper assembly, but can only find an induction kit...

Noise when accelerating or going uphill slowly

Hi guys Need some more help if poss! This is for a 2005 Range Rover (2006 shape). Basically when accelerating slowly the car will make a strange noise (a bit of a rubbing, or even light 'roaring' noise) which only occurs at certain speeds and also only occurs if accelerating!! However, go...

Also, I have been told to contact BBSGuy on here to speak to - tried to PM 'BBSGuy' and no such member. Does anyone know his correct account name?? Lion Heart

    Range Rover Diagnostics

Hi guys Thanks for the feedback... Ok, I've looked at all of these you mentioned, findings as follows: Autologic £7,000 (ouch!) Omitec £2,000 including laptop - cannot program/code modules? BBS L322 Package £3,700 + £250 for reader Auto Enginuity £300 - cannot program/code...

    Range Rover Diagnostics

Hi there Thanks for that - have found the BBS website. Tried contacting their official UK supplier (RPi Engineering) but the chap is too busy working on a car to take my call or call me back. Only been waiting three hours :( Hopefully I'll get to speak to him eventually. Anyone have any...

    Range Rover Diagnostics

Hi All I know you mainly cover P38's, but I have an enquiry more on the L322. Basically, what is the best diagnostic software for these cars? We have found AutoEnginuity but having spoken to one of their distributors they are not at all good for the diesels as their main company is USA based...

    Side Vents - Changing

Hi there 2 in 3 months? It's the same car and I've had it around 5 weeks! Anyway, thanks for the help  Lion Heart ;)

    Side Vents - Changing

Ah yes - meant bonnet not boot. So nobody here knows how to change the side vents?? I thought this was the main Land Rover forum for the UK?? Come on guys! Lion Heart ;)

    Side Vents - Changing

Not sure how the new ones fit. Waiting for them to arrive. They are genuine though so will fit in the same manner as the originals. I'm pretty sure you can't see the inside side of the wing from within the boot? I'll have a look, but I don't think so??? Lion Heart ;)
