Almost certain that its your rear pump as the same thing happend to my FR. Did all the usual checks, talked to landrover, and as said before it is the rear pump that is week.Change it and away she went (a fair size bill though)

Hi m8, i got my TD4 (y reg) with 130000 on the clock with FSH.Since having it very little has gone wrong.She now has 150000 and is still going very well.If the price is right go for it.At the end of the day it all depends if it has had a hard life or not and how well it has been looked after.

Do these cans of additives work on 150000 mile oil burnners (TD4) or are they just another spin to get are £££.

Charge bat up then disconnect positive terminal from bat. After a week re connnect pos terminal and see if the beast will start. No start= knackerd bat.

Just remove rear prop, dont touch anything else. Will take 30mins or so, you wont look back i promise.

Oil burner every time mate, if you have enough ££££ go for a TD4 with the BMW lump. No sports car but not bad at all. DONT GO NEAR A 1.8 or a v6 unless you have very deep pockets.;)

Just to add to what has been said.I have just taken the rear prop off my 2001 TD4 and it is such a better drive.It took about 30 mins with no probs atall, (why did they ever make it a 4 by 4).I think it will stay like this for a long time, such a nicer drive and feel.:)

Does anyone know where i can get a cable kit from as the old one is very bent a distorted as well as being snapped.Other than that the motor and spool which the wire goes round all seen fine. Thanks.

Thanks Freelander what a great gift on my birthday a broken back window mec. Can anyone tell me how to fix it. After removing the plastic back panel i have found that the wire which runs around several pullys has snapped.Can i buy just the wire or does it have to be the whole mec.Any advice...

No stones just alot of brake dust.Had them off 3 times now cant find anything wrong.They were very cheap pads could this have anything to do with the screech when brakeing.
