Hmmm, Ive got a feeling the hissing may be something to do with the kickdown, as its an automatic. Its got an Isuzu 2.8 TD engine in at the mo, but they are low reving beasts, I think there might be a problem with the revs and it not kicking down. Anyone any ideas? David.

Does anyone have a PDF of a range rover classic owners manual? Need to know layout of engine bay. I know engine will be different, just need a general idea. Air filter looks about 10 years old lol, so that's getting replaced.
