hi guys,done that ,pulled it with pliers while someone (misses)pressed down on bonnet and it released the catch,now why is it so hard to open, does it need oil or grease or wd40 ,thanks.

Hi , bonnet catch inside my TD5 has just knackered ,is there a way to get the bonnet up now .When i pulled the lever inside the cable came out of its socket as the cable feels stiff and will not release the bonnet catch.

thanks biglad, will try that when get home tomorrow,first i need get a washer from land rover, the one that fits between the plastic sensor and the fuel filter(that was the problem, the place who i had bought the car off had put a new filter on and scrunched the washer up so as i drove home on...

hi ,have a 1998 discovery td5, had some trouble with the fuel filter and it seems air has got into the fuel system,so now will not start.Whats the correct way to bleed the system to get going again,thanks john.

hi,its a 1998 td5 discovery,i only took off the electric connection and then unscrewed the sensor fitting then tightened it back up again,thanks

hi everyone, had a bad leak out of a new fuel filter (washer was crumpled up ) took it out and tightened up sensor fitting, started engine,it run for about 10 seconds (no leak) then cut out,will not start,seems to be no fuel is getting through now,help john. john4wwf:mad:

hi everyone just got my first landy (discovery td5 1998) drove it 120 miles home and when got home it was chucking out diesel like a tap running , seems to be coming out of the diesel fuel filter underneath the disco,could it be the seal thats gone or a new fuel filter needed.john4wwf:(
