Thinking of putting some of the above on my TD5...Anyone tell me how bad they are on the tarmac..I do 50/50 on road/off road so need a good balance for both..or will the All Terrains be better?

diff lock wind up is bloody annoying on my TD5...you have to reverse for 10 or so yards to get back into a slip diff... always.

Slob...There I was thinking you were the chief wind up merchant on this page and would certainly know the answer...

When I try to unlock the diff on my TD5 after a session off road, I always get 'wind up' and have to stick it in reverse...the manual says this happens sometimes...but with mine its always?..Am I doing something wrong??...its just bloody annoying- even if I lock the diff for 100 yards it needs...

...It happens every time i go off-roading.....there I am trying to work out the best route ...and some blonde babe with a big rack strips off and starts giving my front end a tug...I'm starting to to get sick of it I tell ya!

lest face it the Defender 90 is ,safety wise, about as bad a choice you can make if you have more than one child. I have two five year old twins who bot want to join me in the front ( I have had the centre console removed and a centre seat put in)...This is much safer than them in the back...but...

Had an electric winch fitted to my TD5 but the the garage tell me they wired it to my alternator ( did I hear him right)...Is this right?....I may well be being stupid here as I am as much use with car electrics as mud flaps on a tortoise

...and I also asked for a better tyre-as though everyone says they are Ok...I have found them almost dangerous in the wet , not much cop in the mud...and cant believe they will be very good in the snow either...

My 90 2003 came with those very tyres from new...so reckon they are standard.

....the Main Dealers dont like the people who drive the 'real' Landrovers. They know we have worked out how to form clubs,groups,source parts at 10% of the price - so once they have sold us the car they consider us as low value. They like to spend the time on the housewife Range Rover Sport...

want to buy a general purpose one...but there are a lot to compare. Any suggestions ( seems a lot of them require very expensive Bars/bumper as an additional extra to go with them)
