So now that's out of the way, are there welcoming hugs or is it customary to chink glasses and continue in drunken stooper.

Hiya. I used to teach Cadets in bordon. Was ****e. Lol. Go on ahead minty, don't be feared to speak up, although I somehow doubt that's a problem anyway. :P Edit: Pikeys Bitch, and judging by what I have read so far that means you are the one who bumps uglies with redhand. Each to their...

iPhone and other smart phone apps for forums

"Arsehole of Nowhere, Co Down, Northern Ireland" Fortunately I have a '62 MG Midget competition car for the fantastic roads round here and now the disco for the fine scenery, hills and mountains. Kinda nice knowing that within 30 miles of me we have the mourne mountains, dromara hills, and...

    Evening Gentlemen

Well I had written out a nice intro, but my phone bloody lost it when I switched apps to check eBay. :( Anyway the jist of it went something like this: New Disco owner, new LandyZone member, 27 years old but opinionated and prematurely grumpy. Grew up in Northern Ireland, spent 7 years as an...

    FAQ's

As a new member and even newer to Land Rover ownership I have noticed that there is an absolute wealth of information on here and it has helped me out no end. However, the search function is good, as with all good forums but having spent the last 12 years owning, building and racing Hondas at...

    Alarm Issues

As I haven't had any time with the wagon, my searches online have not been fruitful when trying to find out where steel stops and alloy begins. I know I could just look at the disco, but working during the day means it's always dark when I'm home ATM. Does anyone know a general rule of thumb...

    Alarm Issues

On an additional note the fix I used does not involve running wires or even unscrewing trim. Just one small loop o cable. No connectors, nowt. Well chuffed, big disco is home, first on te list is removing all carpets and sound deadening to get rid of the damp then sort out where the damp was...

    things to look out for

I paid £600 for my 94 200 TDi disco Boot floor is fine and only leak I can find is causing slightly damp carpet in the drivers footwell. Bodywork has a few rough bits but I'm being fussy saying that, didn't have mot or tax but mechanically it's mint with 150k on the clock. Bargain me thinks...

    Alarm Issues

Okay, This was easy, I mean very easy. I'm not overly willing to post details publically due to the security issue with our discos if I did. But if anyone wants to know I'll reply via PM.

    Alarm Issues

Sounds good. Got advised this morning to take the door cards off and get the wd40 and start into all the connecting rods to unseize them. They were very friendly, very helpful and were happy to sit and give advice to a n00b despite a huge queue of customers. Let's hope the alarm fix they...

Thanks guys. It appears I have a fix sorted for it thanks to Belfast Land Rover Centre. Just need to check it works then go from there.

Oh sweet. Big Charley Hurst may get a phonecall yet. Thanks for your help. Just want my first landy to be a bit of craic and not a constant ballache.

    Alarm Issues

Yup. Gonna get on the blower to the local specialists. No way am I dealing with our local dealer, I really don't fancy remortgaging the house for a £600 disco. Lol

It may have an eka code, but my locks are fubar'd so not willing to risk my only key to get them turned.

    Alarm Issues

I believe it does, I got told a hairdryer was the cure for non starting on cold mornings. Aside from that it seems to be one of those items to add to the list of crap to remove along with the cat, egr and whatever else I can find whilst I'm at it. He only had it a month for the snow and knew...

    Alarm Issues

Not really unfortunately. My locks won't allow me to enter an EKA, and I'm not replacing them just yet. I'm preferring the second hand ecu and fob idea, but go knows what costs are involved with that. Ideally I'd just like no alarm issues ever, so may just get a trusty spark out to work...
