    Heater / water loss problem

Hi Heater temp is good and car runs at half way on temp guage as it used too. Counting myself very lucky. Although my warranty company said they would have covered head gasket or slipped liner. They've already paid for a new rear diff, LPG injectors (all 8) and are covering the LPG temp...

    Heater / water loss problem

Well, replaced the split (which was definately leaking) hose and have done 300 miles since with no loss of water at all.

    Heater / water loss problem

Well had a look at the hose today and its definately leaking so that looks like the problem. Its a hose that goes from the heater line to the bulkhead and taps from there over to the LPG system. My guess is that when I lost heat in the cab it split and that caused the LPG system to play up...

    Heater / water loss problem

Well I think I have found it. There is a split in one of the hoses that comes from the heater hose to the LPG system which shows signs of having water leak out. I've had to put some more water in and will replace the hose tomorrow to see if thats the problem. Did 10 miles in it today and used...

    Heater / water loss problem

got a bit more time now so some more info if its gives anyone any ideas. The day the heater stopped for a while I had been driving for around 6 hours then got stuck on the motorway for another 3 hours (yes long day :( ). All this time it was running on LPG with no problems. The next day...

    Heater / water loss problem

I have a 2001 4.6 with LPG. Its had a problem with the LPG so its not been used for while on LPG. I spent many hours in the car the other day stuck on the motorway and after a couple of hours the heater stopped blowing out hot air. I turned up the temp to max and after a minute the book symbol...

    Anyone breaking a 2001 P38?

Hi Had a look on ebay but none of them are the late electrochromematic ones. I have got a standard one from Island 4*4 for now (found one via the thread you mentioned) but would like to put the right one in if I can find one for the right money. Even Island do them for over £100.

    Anyone breaking a 2001 P38?

I'm after a drivers door mirror glass for a 2001 p38 after some arse on the phone drove his van into mine then dissapeared before I could turn round.. Its one of the electrochromematic ones that I understand were fitted on the 2001 version, I've put in a standard heated one for now but would...

    Transmision noise

Well got there in the end, well nearly anyway. Took it to County Rovers in Taunton who have diagnosed it as the rear diff. It back in there in a couple weeks to be sorted. Its covered by the warranty I bought covers it so it shouldnt cost me anything. :)

    Transmision noise

I'll book it into a local place and get them to listen to it I think and go from there. Is it a big job to replace them and is it best to get a new one or can you get re-con ones?

    Transmision noise

Hi. I know this is a hard one to identify with words etc but its worth a try. I have a 2001 4.6 which has over the last couple months had a transmision noise that is getting progresivly worse. Its a whine that is there at any speed over about 10mph and any time under load or not. I know I...

    Breaking my P38

Hi, do you have a cubby box lid or a transfer box (I assume its the same for the 4.6)
  13. D

Any one know these fault codes??

If it helps I had exactly the same 3 codes on my 4.6. The car ran like a dog on petrol and ran ok on LPG. After spending shed loads of cash and being told it was down to the LPG system screwing up the O2 sensors by one garage. I replaced the MAF and the car has been fine ever since. I also...

My P38 turns over but will not start.

Good point, I used Queen St Garage in Taunton.

My P38 turns over but will not start.

Well had the crank sensor replaced and it looks ok now. The car used to run for 5 - 10 minutes then just stop with no spark, now it seams to be fine. The bonus is I've now found what seams to be a reasonable garage to look after it as well as the bill for finding the fault and fixing was very...

    P38 Central Locking/unlocking Gonmad

Similar problem with mine as well. On mine all the doors suddenly lock apart from the passenger door. I assume its a sticky lock and once I get the car back from the garage  then I'll take it out and greese it up.

My P38 turns over but will not start.

Well its definately not interference from anything else. Car has now been recovered to me and its the same. When its cold it starts fine but as soon as it warms up it stops. No fault codes and no spark.

My P38 turns over but will not start.

I've just had the same problem. Drove a good 200 miles and then on way home I stopped for traffic and it cut out. I wouldnt start at all just turned over but never tried to fire. Waited for RAC and when they turned up it started up, then turned the it off and it would start again. We checked...

p38's are officially rubbish....dont ever buy one

Not too sure on the cost in total as the guy I bought it from paid for the work on the air con. But the condenser was £120 (I think they are alot more from LR but do a search on the net), £40 for re-gas and about an hours work so I think it must have cost him about £200ish.

p38's are officially rubbish....dont ever buy one

Well another one sorted by the look of it. The poor running was apparently down to someone before me fitting new lambda sensors but not calibrating them or reseting etc. The garage lost me after 30 secs but it now runs really well on LPG or petrol. So faith is restored in RR's until the list...
