hi chaps here is an update have spoken to a chap who is a bosch diagnostic specialist and he said the timing chain on these stretch causing the timing to alter (as they should fire at 6 degrees BTDC) so it starts fueling early causing extra fumes through pumping in extra fuel so what we have...

Dont go for a petrol get a td4 honestly the extra will be money well spent.:)

Hi markyzs1800 we have changed all 4 injectors changed glow plugs and maf sensor and crank ventilation filter but it keeps belching blue smoke out its worse when i fitted egr removal kit so now it has got egr valve back in when it gets to operating temp the smoke disapears and it drives perfect...

Well removed injectors beburred ports spent 9 hours on it changed MAF sensors and still the same what a wasted day i am now p........d off with it has anyone any ideas am wonderin if ecu is faulty or is there any temp sensors need changing that links to ecu to cause it to overfuel hence blue...

Hi the injectors are easy to change as long as they are not siezed in the ports i have just changed 4 on my mates freelander and they came out fairly well but on here read some off the nightmare stories on removal of injectors you will need some new copper washers to reseal on rebuild good luck!

Hi all have changed diesel filter but am going to remove injectors again and deburr ports and use some more sealing washers rebuild it and try again so after weekend will report again to you all.

Hi dont bother i bought one last month with headgasket done in 12 months i ended up havin it done again and renewing all seals in the end i got shut and bought a diesel best decision ive made hope this helps
