can they scan it if it won't start?

New fuel pump has not fixed it! Engine won't fire at at all - anyone got any knowledge of what else might be the problem? 2001 TD4 - beginning to panic now!

fuel pump being changed in morning - hope thats all it is. he mention injectors?

is there any kind of reset needed for the engine management light - starter turning but not starting!

banged fuel pump with hammer - think thats it but now battery goosed!

Any thoughts? Towing a trailer, TD4 started to lose power, engine light came on then car ground to a halt. Engine turns over but won't start! Green Flag just delivered me home thankfully but am wondering what it's most likely to be. Cheers, Carol

Hi again - feeling like something has been dropped on my head however that is besides the point - picked up freelander after having handbrake sorted and having the 'creaking sound' resolved. (for those who are still awake I got the subframe fixed last year but a creak had appeared recently...

Yep, found where it should go and re-fitted it ok but after further investigation I wondered if there was some benefit or technical advantage from disconnecting it?

I am presuming this to be something to do with air intake? but it is disconnected and I am wondering if there is a reason for this. Not really sure if its to do with the build up of crap that some people have mentioned on other threads or if that is a different thing. any help greatly appreciated
