    Turbo Vent Filter Missing?

Did a service today on the car, changed the crank case filter, air filter, oil filter an 6l of oil. I had the engine cover off, and still couldnt see the turbo vent filter, or any sign of it. Does anyone have a picture of the solenoid valve and where it cmes from so that I can check mine.

    Turbo Vent Filter Missing?

Hi Neil, I followed those up, there was a braided one that wasn't clipped, going into the rear of the engine, behind the oil filler cap, but I don't think it was that. I really don't know where it is. I may have to unbolt the rear engine plastic cowling to see if its underneath that.

    Turbo Vent Filter Missing?

Here is a picture of the front of the turbo, and a shot from behind the wheel arch. As I said I cannot see a turbo vent filter, and there is no erg mod either as far as I can tell.

    Turbo Vent Filter Missing?

I've taken some pictures today, I cant see any pipes behind the engine that have the filter on them, I've even looked through the wheel lining with a torch and can see nothing. The only weird thing that I could see was something that looked like a gator on the right hand side of the engine bay...

    Turbo Vent Filter Missing?

I've just bought a turbo vent filter and fuel filter to replace the old ones, but cant seem to find the turbo vent filter. The car is a 2004 facelift freelander. I did however notice some oil coming from one of the screw holes, the left hand side one in the front engine cover. Is this normal...

    Reverse problem

Yes fitting and the warranty. It was half the price of a local garage. Seemed really nice people as well, as the mechanic said they specialise in gearboxes and that's the bulk of their work. They had mine done in just over a day.

    Reverse problem

They could have done a recon unit for £900 if it had been the forward gears as well.

    Reverse problem

Yes, I used the garage that I spoke about earlier, and they were excellent, very reasonable on price, they charged £675 for replacing the reverse band, and replacing the transmission fluid. This was half the price that my local garage quoted, and it dam with a 6 month 10,000 mile warranty.

    Reverse problem

It has turned out to be the reverse band, part of it was broken, but there was a part catching, hence the reason that the car was reversing very slowly and juddering.

    Reverse problem

Has anyone ever heard of a company called all gears and engines, based in Stratford (london), Gearbox Specialist London - Repair, Rebuild & Reconditioning They seem to know their stuff about the Jatco gear boxes, and seem to be reasonable on price. Has anyone on the forum had any dealings...

    Reverse problem

I have just hooked up my OBDII unit, and it has come back with the following: 0705 Transmission Range Sensor A Circuit (PRNDL Input) Does anyone know whether this could just be a sensor causing the problem? Or has anyone else encountered this before?
