Remove the green oval badge from the door and give a good dose of WD40. This normaly does the trick.

Hi, I suspect you probably have a leak in one of your air bags. Does it sit down to the bump stops ? It may be that the movement of reversing is exposing a leak, the bags roll down and effectivly seal or hide a leak. It will work your compressor harder if it has a leak and wear it out quicker...

Sounds a bit high to me ! I,d look around, private rather than trade, in that price range. You wont get any worthwhile warantee anyway. Disco's are realy low at the moment. Check out Ebay and see what they go for. You should get a lower milage than that for that price.
