all new, heads r done, am thinking its got a good air lock, b4 the heads went it took took the caravan to torquay and back, then done heads , belts, pump, bottle, cap, now it just boils the water away on a 10 mile run, it was ok b4 I done the heads.

if a cracked liner it wud drop the water into the oil, or if the head or heads were letting exhaust fumes up in to the water it wud pressure up then over, this runs fine on short runs but on longer ones it boils, am thinking its got a good air lock, after doing a google .

got a problem with me landy, it just keeps getting hotter and hotter when I take it for a good run, just done the heads, there holding pressure, its like the water is not cooling down or not getting back to the block cool, any 1 got any advice, thanks.

hi everyone, my v6 mk1 freelander is boiling the water and I think letting it out via steam, its like the engine is boiling it.

sorry, eslewere, no differecne, works fine whens its hot, well a lot better than when its cold, its llike a bang up the back side when it chages gear.

how do , av got gearbox problems.

am a bit slow on here, cant find me way round, any way done the oil yesterday.

any 1 no about the jatco gearbox fitted on the freelander v6, got some problems with it, just started playing up, when its cold it very slow to change gear, and when it does change gear it jerks, does this when u slow down aswell, when the car gets warmed up it works fine, is it sticking valve...
