Compressor always running…. And me running out of ideas

Thanks Wammers. But where then? As it doesn’t drop even 1 cm in 24 hours the bags are now OK. Then it must be the connection to the air reservoir or the reservoir itself. I sprayed it with soapy water but no joy. Could it be the pipes coming/going from the air dryer? The blue pipe going...

Compressor always running…. And me running out of ideas

Hi guys, Could you please help me once again? My compressor runs almost continuously. When it does stop there is a quick puff of air in the vicinity of the exhaust valve then after a couple of seconds the compressor starts up again and keeps going until the next puff of air. Sometime...

    Range rover sport dead

As said above, if it was a P38 I would suspect the battery. Mine showed plenty of ugly messages when the battery was dead. Do you drive only short journeys? This would be another element pointing to a dead battery. It could also be a tired alternator not charging the battery. But start with...

Can you fit a P38 steering wheel to a late classic?

No idea if it’s possible. But what about the airbag? If you try it think about the airbag and be extra careful.

Stuck on the side of the road

I’m pretty sure that in the same moment other drivers in our big world were stranded with their BMW, Porsche, Volvo, Toyota and so on … They just don’t have a wonderful forum like this one to let their fellows know about it, share their bad luck and get live assistance (or just kill time...

    Praying P38

Interesting. I’ve the same problem. The front drops the back stays up. New front airbags. No joy. No connection going into the valve block is leaking. It's leaking somewhere in the valve block. I’m sure. Or maybe an air pipe cut somewhere where you can’t spot it (unlikely).

    Running or Not Running

running fine .. with a small leak in the eas and leaking a very little bit of motor oil just to let me know it's a real P38 and not a fake :D

    Help/advice needed i got stuck!

Hi and :welcome2: It may be worth to check if the transfer box viscous coupling is working as it should. Do a search on the forum to find out how to test it. But looking at the pic I doubt this is the problem.

P38 drivers door locked and cant be opened

Mine had exactly the same symptoms a month ago. Broken door latch blocked in lock position. I ordered a new latch from Island 4x4. I also ordered the latch cable to be on the safe side. New latch mounted. Problem gone. Hell of a job. If you want to go DIY have a look here: Door Lock...

2 unconnected connectors, a P0340 fault code and no check engine light

I searched for the camshaft sensor. This time from under the car and I got a result. The red wire is hanging out completely broken. :5back2: I bet Hawkeye cannot clear the fault. “New” used sensor ordered. One last issue to go (at the moment). What is the white connector under the...

EAS - only the front bags drop during the night

Hi Data, Thank you very much. Yes it must be a leak. As soon as the temperature will rise a bit (-17 C at the moment) I’ll take the valve block out once again. As only the front bags drop I’ll check the o-rings going from the block in the front airbag lines as well as the o-rings of...

2 unconnected connectors, a P0340 fault code and no check engine light

Good evening all, I recently discovered two disconnected connectors on my P38 4.6 HSE, Gems, Auto gearbox, LHD. One is under the fuse box and the other under the expansion tank. See attached pictures. I’ve done a search on the electric manual but I’m not an expert and I have no idea...

EAS - only the front bags drop during the night

Hi all, Here another eas problem I m dealing with at the moment (p38 4.6 HSE, 1998): Before reneving my valve block I had all sort of EAS faults but the suspension didn't sink at night. After renewing the block all faults are gone. Everything works fine and since I m not having faults...
