    Tdi or td5?

also keep the disco as a second car. at least you have a 50/50 chance of getting anywhere.

    Tdi or td5?

either way, it'll break down so tdi is the better option as its easier to fix yourself, plus the endless parts you will need to keep it going are cheaper.

    Temp guage and heating wierdness

the temp guage appears to be working, it moves off the base line but barely gets past the white line. occasionally it gets to the quarter mark but as soon as you put the heaters on, it drops down again

    Temp guage and heating wierdness

Hello, I have recently had a new 300tdi engine from a disco, fitted to my defender, after it seized. Since then, I have had problems with heat. My temperature gauge barely moves past the white line, even after an hours run, and the heater only blows cold/luke warm air. Any ideas? Cheers

    Defender locks

Hello, About to replace my locks for the 5th time after key snapper yet again. Anyone know if there's a set of replacement lock barrels that are NOT made of butter? Standard locks are pony and can be opened with a 2 pence piece. Why are these vehicles built using such complete sh*t for parts...

Does any one out there know what these wheels are called, who makes them, part numbers etc? Thanks

What have you done to your Landie today.

just finished replacing the rear wheel bearing after only 6 months of it being replaced before! the arse hole at the Jeep garage hadn't put a drop of grease in there and it was rusted to fook. had to use an angle grinder to cut out the seal. will do it my self in future. My fault for taking a...

    V8 or 300TDI

average is 1 euro a liter (for diesel) . not cheep, especially when its all bloody hills

    V8 or 300TDI

The garage I use here has suggested I bring it in for a load of tests. he is convinced with the right tuning and an alisport intercooler, oh and a new turbo with bigger injectors; I could achieve more power.

    V8 or 300TDI

thats useful thanks. I was thinking i would need to spend loads of money on tuning or even an engine change when, all i really need is a re-spray. Thank god for Landyzone! I would have thrown my money away if it wasn't for such sage advice.

    V8 or 300TDI

I have noticed my 300TDI is gutless up hills (bad when you live in the mountains) and lacks power for acceleration. Do I go for a tune up, new turbo, new intercooler etc on my existing, low milage good condition 300tdi; or do I go for a V8 conversion? What are the pro's and cons?
