    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

I did ignition then plug. Oops...Pressure was there for a few seconds then slowed down to the same as it was with ignition off.

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

Well there was defiantly pressure just then at the filter! The pipes on regulator are correct, they only connect to the corresponding part. And I don't think I could have mixed anything else up

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

OK let's go back a bit. Now with the ignition on the diesel is literally spraying out of the plug before I get it all the way undone.. also snapped the plastic thread trying to get it tighten up quickly

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

Come out with the same effect as if you were pouring diesel out of a jerry can....

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

Yeah maybe it did have air in there somewhere. I understand the steady stream now. Ignition was off
  6. H

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

Yeah, that's how they are. Then back one turn on the adjuster. I'm sort of thinking that the issue is in the injectors area. But after spraying some ****e in the air intake and still not attempting to fire. I'm sort of thinking... what the hell

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

Yes tried jump leads this evening, still no joy. When I was doing the injectors I rotated the engine so that the lobe on the opposite side of the injected was at its max height?! Should the lobe be at the highest on the injector side of the shaft?

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

Sierra tells me that 10v is cause for a new Battery.. not sure myself so I'm open to all options. Maybe I will be divorced by the time I get the car up and running haha

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

OK so I connect Battery up, 14.4v. Cranked and went down to 11.1v. All seems OK Crank sensor plugged in. I checked for oil at ecu red plug which is clear, all injectors plugged in OK. I've removed feed pipe at regulator and fuel is pouring through it. Seems like the starter could be the...

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

OK, I've got some ammo to throw at the car this evening. Thinking of the starter motor, my wife mentioned a few weeks back that when she attempted to start the car it just made a "click" . She got out, checked the battery was connected, tried again and it started. Soooooo maybe the starter is...

Disco 2 broken rocker shaft bolt

So... the rocker shaft is bolted back on, the helicoils worked a treat, timed the injectors and put the cover back on. If anyone else find there selves in this situation I would now give my vote on using helicoils. Save the expense and time of stripping the head down. Holy ****, the car won't...

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

I haven't tried to bump start it before but I'm sure I've read that its not advised. I will have a look at the volts tonight. So should the starter be upsetting the sensor, what's the options on this? Thought I was doing well my landy knowledge but I'm just getting more and more out of my league...

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

    Disco 2 td5 won't fire?

Good evening, So the td5 is turning over but won't fire. 4 weeks ago she broke down due to alternator so this was changed and at the same time I started the injector seals, this took 3 weeks as the rocker bolts broke and a whole array of problems. I've built all the rocker up, connected...

Disco 2 broken rocker shaft bolt

Quick update: the rocker shaft has successfully been drilled out to accept the bolts. I thought it was made of carbon steel, but it's actually case hardened mild steel. 20 quid for the job to be done, so not bad at all and hopefully start putting the old girl back together this next few...

Disco 2 broken rocker shaft bolt

The part of the rocker carrier that the bolts go down through is slightly bigger than m8. I wanted to get a good thread for the heli's, so I went M10. The m8 thread wouldn't be deep enough to hold the heli's... Why not? It's just 2 holes that need to be 1mm bigger. I just don't have a drill...

Disco 2 broken rocker shaft bolt

Good evening, just a quick update on my progress with the rocker bolts. As I mentioned i helicoiled the holes to take M10 bolts but embarrassingly I never checked that M10's would go through the rocker shaft holes. They don't! Oops. Anyway the rocker has gone to my local engineers for some...

Disco 2 I need to stop reading about LR's. (TD5 Oil Pump Bolt)

Just done my oil pump bolt thus weekend. 99 with 134k on the clock. The bolt was tight, but had no thread lock on it. Cheers
