Help, ESA fault need a decent independent LR Garage near Westeron Super Mare

Thanks Ridesafe, I'll drop you a PM for the details. Currently car is with Steve Hill in Brislington as I urgently need the car next week so it has to be working and not going to happen again. Shame as it means that I'm going to pay instead of having a go myself. Changed bags last year so...

Help, ESA fault need a decent independent LR Garage near Westeron Super Mare

Cheers Got all keen when I first got the P38 and bought the lead, quite glad I did now. Only thing is that I'm not far from Steve Hill Land Rovers who I found to be recommended on here so I can either just take over to them to have a look at today or I drive the 10 miles home to try and...

Help, ESA fault need a decent independent LR Garage near Westeron Super Mare

Hi all Aghhhhh P38 developed a EAS fault on way into work this morning and sank onto the stops. Preparing myself for the 10 mile rather bumpy journey home tonight (or would you recommend just getting recovery trusk out, am I likely to do any damage driving onthe stops?) I've got the lead...

    modified rangerover p38 project

Bogtastic. Full marks for the effort, you've done a lot of work. I like the rear not so keen on the front bumper.

    Insurance

I'm with Adrian Flux 4x4 dept, can't remember how much it is but was cheaper than anyone else when I was looking.

Air suspension Bag replacment instructions or workshop manual please

Fairly easy to do, especially once you get hand of the first one. I removed the wheel lining to do the front rather than try the hook things. If pins brake when you try and remove have something long and thin to hand so you can tap out the remains of the pin, I just flatten the remains of...

    Anyone know a quick fix

I've got the same problem in my 2000DHSE but it only sticks till the end of the road but the gear change up through 1st and 2nd is lumpy. I also changed gearbox fluid and filter and seal and it didn't help things. I will sort out cleaning the govenor at some point but my local LR garage said...

    EAS problem, continued....

I was talking to my local LR garage about it when I was picking up the car after having 4th injector replaced and he simply got a spray (those cheap gardening ones) full of soapy water and was able to accurately direct the jet so only went in gaps where seals are and this showed bubbles...

    EAS problem, continued....

When you did the soapy water test for leaks did you do the valve block as well? I replaced the bags on mine and checked all the hose connections but it would still sometimes drop in the night (and sometimes not). I then found that I've got a leak in the valve block and so have bought a o-ring...

I believe people recommend Pirelli Scorpions

Shaky hands (and not through drink)

No I haven't as not sure what one is? I'm guessing it's something cancel to out vibrations? Where is it and what does it do? How could I tell whether it was shot? Cheers

    is my pump shaged

My pump is running all the time as it appears I have a leak in the valve block and I can't get the tank up to pressure, pump runs, stops for a few seconds and starts again. I'm going to try and find a o ring replacement kit and get it fixed before the pump burns out hopefully.

Shaky hands (and not through drink)

Right well then that proves it, it's not the fact it's a diesel that's making it vibrate.

Shaky hands (and not through drink)

No not yet It was sounding like a bus when at idle so took it back to the garage who had a little play with the idle speed and up'd it to about 850 rpm so not as bad but still get to work and my hands feels shakey and minor pins & needles. Haven't had chance to look at what else could be...

Classic sagging headlining temp. fix !

    Really?

Shaky hands (and not through drink)

Will do although as I've due to go on holiday in it soon I may have to get the garage involved. What's strange is that (a) it's worse when it came back from having injector fixed and (b) it's only really bad when stopped and the revs are idling about 800rpm then the whole car steering wheel...

Shaky hands (and not through drink)

I don't like the sound of that

Shaky hands (and not through drink)

No it's an auto. Runs fine especially since having no. 4 injector replaced but steering wheel vibrates a fair bit (when moving or not). Could it be a loose engine mount? The air compressor shouldn't cause any vibration should it?

    Overheating problem

I flushed my radiator during the service and that has helped to lower the average temp.

What's it doing on the ceiling?
