Upgraded to P38 DHSE and have a few issues which I hope you can help with.

Cheers for advice. Reason for changing is that the bottom of the bags looks quite perished and I don't want to leave it till it's causing me a problem and I'm forced to change them, I know they will need doing in next year or so, so why not do them when I have spare time and a couple of mates...

    Thinking Of Buying A P38 - reliabilty

A friend of mine has had a R reg diesel P38 for 5 years and said it has been his most reliable car, he thinks he's spent less than £1,500 on it in those 5 years and that at least half of that was for upgrades that he wanted and not because there was anything wrong with the bits on there.

    Beautiful example of a Classic

£5,655 for classic??? I wish someone would buy mine for half of that.

    cheapest supplier for air springs?

Are there any decent step by step instructions for replacing the air bags any where? I've got RAVE but wondered if there was anything by someone who had done them with handy hints and ways to make the job nice and easy. I've downloaded instructions from a couple of other places but any...

    One touch windows query

Cheers Trying to avoid the dealers as no doubt they'll charge me a small fortune to do it. Saying that when I get round to buying a replacement key perhaps I can persuade them to sort it out on the cheap (unlikely but worth a try). I can imagine there will be a queue of Range Rovers...

    One touch windows query

Don't suppose there's anyone near London or Stockport or Bristol (places I regularly visit)that has something that would allow me to enable this option without the expense of a trip to my main stealer?

    One touch windows query

Must have missed that, had a flick through but couldn't find anything other than how to set, will check again tonight.

    One touch windows query

Hi all Quick query about the one touch feature. My windows and sunroof are all set (no messages on display to say they are not) but to open or close the windows or sunroof I have to hold the button down to desired position. Now I know in the grand scheme of things and all that could go...

Upgraded to P38 DHSE and have a few issues which I hope you can help with.

This should be a warning to other buyers to throughly check the levels before driving home. Actually I have just got the car back from the garage and apparently the drag link was so worn that it was just hanging in with a bit of rubber, the guy said he'd never seen one so worn, he also said...

Upgraded to P38 DHSE and have a few issues which I hope you can help with.

Mmmh it's interesting you mention the idle part because I've just had it back from the garage and they couldn't get it to overheat when idling for half an hour. I then drove it home through horrendous rush hour traffic, it took an hour to do about 3 miles never doing more than a crawl so was...

Upgraded to P38 DHSE and have a few issues which I hope you can help with.

Right thanks for that little lot and something to get me started. I'll check fan first, then radiator plastic baffle, then flush radiator and check thermostat. Is there any easy way to check the water pump impeller and if there is a head gasket issue? Would it make sense to use...

Upgraded to P38 DHSE and have a few issues which I hope you can help with.

Does it matter, when I turn on the aircon fans, what temperature it's set at? Is it better to be set as hot as possible so that (I assume) more of the water is directed passed the fans? Is there an easy way to test the temperature sensor is working properly?

    temp guage?

I've no idea what the cling film was for, might do a search and see if I can find out, perhaps it was to seal round the hose or just to wrap your sarnies in
  20. D

    temp guage?

Ok reckon the garage can do it if nothing else works. I read on another thread about using cling film when flushing the radiator through, what is that all about? Will probably get a new cap as that seems a cheap thing to do at the same time as flushing and checking hoses. Also wondering...
