Hi all

Quick query about the one touch feature.

My windows and sunroof are all set (no messages on display to say they are not) but to open or close the windows or sunroof I have to hold the button down to desired position.

Now I know in the grand scheme of things and all that could go wrong and really I should count myself lucky that the windows actually open, is there any reason why my one touch isn't working, is it something you need to switch on?

Cheers

have you got a manual for your car? i read mine last night and it tells you how to set them up to open with one click of the button, it also says you can only do it to the front windows but i can do it to all 4 and the sun roof, all i have to do is push the button for 1/2 a second and it all works

Must have missed that, had a flick through but couldn't find anything other than how to set, will check again tonight.

You can't set them to one touch without the faultmate unless you know someone with one. Next time you get it plugged in at dealer (or someone with their own) ask them to set it for you.

I also got stuck for a few days here as a new owner, I'm not sure if you are.

But on previous cars, maily Vauxhalls, you have to hold the button for a second then release it and the window will go all the way down or up.

On the Landy, you just touch it and release it in a flash and it will then fully open or close.

Only if it has been set to do so, and this requires a faultmate plugging in to set up.

Ant is right..it's a selectable option in the BECM settings. Five minute job to enable/disable........unless you go to a main stealer.

Hi john, long time no speaky, sorry about April but work is mad but getting easier now, let me know when you are over next. ;)

No problem Ant. Won't be over for a couple of months. Will PM you when I am due to visit.:welcome2::tea:

john you'll be doing a tour i take it. hopefully you'll plug mine in and i can have a feck about with the car, never seen the diags on a rangey!

also find out why the feckin airbag message is on and gety rid of it!

Don't suppose there's anyone near London or Stockport or Bristol (places I regularly visit)that has something that would allow me to enable this option without the expense of a trip to my main stealer?

Drw, there's a LR dealer 1 mile from me if you're still on for Saturday, failing that if you can wait a couple of months, John (Irishrover) will be over in Walsall if you fancy a trip. He has the full setup to plug you in.
Maybe he'll do us a group discount. ;-)

Trying to avoid the dealers as no doubt they'll charge me a small fortune to do it.

Saying that when I get round to buying a replacement key perhaps I can persuade them to sort it out on the cheap (unlikely but worth a try).

I can imagine there will be a queue of Range Rovers round the block waiting to be plugged in :D and John there with his gadgets tapping away furiously and calling 'next' everytime ones finished.

Yes still on for Saturday busily trying to get car through MOT ready for Saturday morning after the fecking MOT tester failed me on 'not having the right coloured amber in my indicators', an indicator not working despite me seeing them all work when I took it in and some rubber bush being worn and allowing excessive play. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I'll give you a bell Friday night.

I'll post when I have booked to come over next time. I'll also bring a spare unlocked BECM over just in case anyone is in deep ****e. Will be a good chance to put faces to names on here and discover if you are really as crazy as me. I'll even be pleased to meet members from "The Dark Side" (Yam Yam Country!!):hippie:
