    Is this a good price?

Or take a close up picture where it leaks. A photo like this one (click on it): This one doesn't leak, it's the pump on my disco seen from the engine side.

    Oil leak from Rocker Cover

The initiator of this topic has a D II also but it has a V8 petrol engine (u can notice words like "left side tappit cover" and "spark plugs" in his 1st post in the thread). On Td5s the job is even easier to do 'cause you have better access. Just unscrew the bolts progressively, replace gasket...

    Revs dropping?? Air flow meter??

Well, it could be the air flow meter (MAF) causing the trouble. Try to borrow one from another vehicle and see what happens.

To start or not to start

Please don't "sir" me unless you want me getting into a suit and put a tie on, which I hate by the way :) 1. Like I said, better ask some specific Q on the Land Rover forum in US: DiscoWeb Message Boards I'm not familiar with the LR part prices in US, in UK they cost about $10 a piece. 2...

To start or not to start

I think you should change the leads. Not 2, not 4, not 7 but all of them. If your disco spent it's entire life in the south US' hot & humid climate then the leads might need a change. If the leads are cracked (small tiny cracks on the surface or on the ends - almost invisible), whatever you...

To start or not to start

The best thing to do is to trace the fault when it does not start. There are dozens of things that could be wrong. The most likely ones are the plugs (which you replaced) and the spark plug leads. No doubt the problem is electrical. Next time your disco won't start, have someone crank the engine...

    Changing Auto Gearbox Oil 300TDi?

At that kind of mileage the previous owner is less likely to have had changed the GB oil filter lately. Adding the gear change sluggishness to the equation ==> it's time to stretch your back under the disco and have fun :)

    Changing Auto Gearbox Oil 300TDi?

Have a look at what this chap says here: YouTube - WD buy Range Rover 4of5 Mind that you don't have to take the cross member out (that RR has a V8 and you have a 300tdi). More info here: DIFFLOCK - ZF Auto box Oil and Filter change I would change the GB oil filter as well. You didn't tell us...

    Strange steering problem

I would run a steering system bleed if I were you. Buy the book: At step 4 I would use a clear hose on the bleed screw so I could see better what's happening there. Repeat step 5 (turning the wheels from 1 full lock to another) until at least 1/2 liter of fluid comes out (keep the level in...

    1992 disco key fob ???
