I suppose insurance would be a bigger concern to me. If you put seats into a car that didn't have them originally, wouldn't that be classed as a modification?

I'd agree with Driving Mad. I have just had exactly the same prob on my 300Tdi Discovery. Playing around with the light switch does indeed highlight the problem. I managed to buy a replacement light and wiper stalk on Ebay. Hope this helps.

I have now established that the light switch is the offending part. I have also just managed to pick up a light/wiper switch on Ebay, but can someone tell me if it is an easy task to replace them? I'm no mechanic or electrician, but will have a go myself if the job is easy enough to tackle.
