Hey muddy, looking good. I saw the other photo a week or so ago with a shot from the front. You had two filter housings attached. I'm assuming one was for veg and the other for diesel? How does that work?

I also have a smokey 2.5TD with an MOT fast approaching. It smokes like yours on start up and when ticking over for a while in trafic jams etc. You're obviously not as lazy as me as I've only done an oil change and filters. I'd like to know what I can do about it too. Thanks D

If you're not pre heating the fuel a 50 / 50 mix is a bit thick especially when its been so cold. I'd stick to 30 (Veg) / 70 (diesel) in the depths of winter. Last time I did the calculation, I was getting 28 mpg up hill and down dale in North Yorkshire. About 5mpg worse than an old clio 1.8 rsi thrashed about town and much less stressful.

I picked up everything I needed from ebay, £15 CB (midland 3001), £5 mic, £15 arial + mount, £5 swr meter. All I hear is static and the odd trucker. To be honest I only got it so i could have the mic dangling from the roof in a convoy sytle..... It's time I got the PA bit set up....

I'm sure I read that somewhere. If the casteor n camber are out it suggested that its likley to be suspension related. Thats what I think it said anyway.

The old land rover was pretty shagged before I started. I don't think a bit of veg will make much difference. Think of it more like an experiment.
