On changing oil I slightly underfilled - 1/2 way between max - min .... blue smoke in morning appears significantly reduced....still some but not street filling.

Re VCU .... put car in reverse and put it on full lock try reversing does it really really tight....like handbrake is 1/2 on??? Try driving forward slowly at idle....then turn hard over full lock quickly... does it really hold back. Generally with a good vcu ... there should be some slight...
