    If the fixings are loose you will get a knock noise as the fixings move in the holes in the inner panel. I'm just giving another cause of regulator knock noise not refuting that the regulators segment may be damaged but worth checking before you go to the expense of buying a new regulator all...

    Thule do a crossbar that bolts on to the fixings in the roof channels (like the Land Rover genuine sports bar ones) but check the prices first you may find it is cheaper to buy from Land Rover!!! As with Thule you have to buy all the bits individually and this soon adds up i.e. £150 ish...

    window won't set

    When setting the windows you need to lower them and keep the switch deppressed for 2 or 3 seconds in the down position before raising the window and again keeping the switch deppressed for a couple of seconds! This should do it. If you have clunking noises you may have a loose regulator fixing bolt!

If you have only been driving round town and dropping into access height the reservoir will empty and unless you go over 2000rpm the compressor will not kick in.
