    I'm in Brighouse HD6. Just had a quote of £140 to repair! Where's my duct tape... More I look more its just the holes in the ends that are bad - the weight bearing bit seems solid.

    Just been into the snow and given it a good knock and to be fair it all seems pretty solid apart from the holey ends. I'm just get quotes to repair. I agree new is better but as the budget is super tight it may have to wait for the lottery win I am due soon.

    Thanks for the advice. Anyone heard of the cheap coca cola method - fill it with cheap coke and it will get rid of all of the old rust like with a copper coin. Cokes 35p a litre at my local store!
