Alright. The fault code is P0139 - fuel rail pressure sensor malfunction. Started it up cold today at it was okay until it heated up. ! light only seems to kick in once the engine is up to or near temp.

Thanks for your words. It's very helpful to have an unbiased opinion - you can't trust these garages. A drive shaft issue would make much more sense than a transmission issue. I'd appreciate if anybody else has any other ideas.
