What have you done to your Landie today.

Replace fuel, air & oil filters today, cleaned out sedimenter & replaced wiper blades. My wife has done a fantastic job of valeting the interior. Took it out after all that & now have a grinding coming from one of the brakes, oh deep joy :frusty:

    Heater control illumination

Hi all, just going through the motions with my recently acquired 300 tdi, coming home tonight i don't seem to have any illumination to the heater controls or any of the sunroof switches. My question is are these items illuminated & if so how do you get to the bulbs.

That's one hell of a lump to pull out if you cannot undo the fastenings, you might manage it if you remove the front slam panel

    Changing 200TDi Timing chain probs.

Bit of luck for you that you had predrilled the hole first before the drill snapped, but don't you just hate it when a job goes tits up on you like that. Glad its sorted.:D

    Changing 200TDi Timing chain probs.

I know you have sorted it now, but a couple of years ago i snapped a couple of bolts on a cv hub. Loads of drills later i hadn't made an impression on the sodding things, a mate of mine lent me a cobalt tipped left hand drill. Thought he was tacking the mick but the opposite drilling action...

How do I remove a D5 viscous fan?

I think after giving it a good leathering with various sizes of hammer & failing I would have resorted to the gas axe & stuff the consequences
