By the way the colour of my pic is Kingfisher blue (I think). Pageant is a lot bluer and brighter and an original Stage 1 colour I believe.

Saw a Defender near the end of our road a few weeks back with a black roof and nearly followed him as he turned into the road opposite. It was a black Defender and looked pretty mean.

Can't find any chains. Was going to order their number plate brackets bits its smaller than the number plate. Called them and they could do it at double the price plus P&P would have been near £30 so bought an angled piece of aluminium (1m long) for less than half that.

What diameter chain should I be going for? Going to convert the SW to canvas and need some chain, so going to order some galvanised. 4mm x19/20mm long (internally) feels about right and with a decent strength. I've got some inner tube for the chain sleeves so will use that. FFG

Actually thinking sand now anyway. Concerned the black will fade quickly and sand is timeless.
