Cheers mate, the welding wasn't too pretty but there's a tonne of new metal there now so should be good for a little while now! Yeah I'm planning on it, will get my big tyres on tomorrow night if it passes and then I'm all set.

MOT retest booked for tomorrow - done the bits and pieces this weekend so if (when!) it passes, I'm there.... Bloody hope it does, spent the hole weekend welding up the ever increasing holes! As for the plan for the day, I'm happy to follow anyone around. I've been to the plain numerous...

Retest tomorrow. Replaces all the anti roll bar links - 10 minute job and £7.30 per connecting link. Tightenend up all the wheel bearings - they were pretty loose to be fair - cost nothing. Cleaned rear disk - bit of thinners, no cost 2 bastard days of welding, had to buy a coupel tiny...

You can leave the battery connected as long as you make sure some funny fecker doesn't start the engine when you've got your face by the fan.........

Mine has that rounded end on too - fits in a socket like cup on the centre box. What does the centre straight through pipe look like? I was looking for £25 - I paid £33.50 for it when it was new and can't really take it back now it's got diesel dust all over it!
