Just called them, he reckons it's not just the pulley that's different, he says the actual mounting bracket spacing is different.

If the pulleys can be changed I'll give Christan Autos a ring and see how much he wants for a 65amp, that certainly gives me more options.

100amp. 65amp ones are much cheaper, but all the ones I've seen have the external fan and a different pulley. Will a 65amp one fit if I swap the pulley over? I don't actually need a 100amp alternator in my Defender.

Just called Christian Autos, he wants £120 which isn't bad for a new one to be fair, but still on the lookout if anyone has one kicking about locally.

Pretty much how I bought my 110. The guy had it MOT'd whilst I was there to look at it, and it failed on a corroded outrigger and lots of other little bits and pieces. Bought it cheap, got a mate to do the outrigger (chassis is sound other than that, and it had a new rear crossmember about a...

My bloody spare wheel/tyre STILL hasn't arrived, so I may need use of that compressor again if I'm unfortunate enough to have it happen again.... ;)
