Could be a faulty stat or sensor. I would be tempted to plan on replacing both. If it were me, which ever one I chose to replace first it is always the other one. Sods law and all that

+2 for the 6 point sockets, I have 1/4 and 3/8 drive sets both teng tools, I have had the 3/8s drive set for over 20 years and never broken a socket or rounded a nut. I have sheared bolts but if its that stuck its not going to undo anyway.

Dont think the MAP is your issue, I unplugged mine to see how well it ran and there was little change. Fitted a fully cleaned one and it ran alot better but did not stop it starting. Looks like its as simple as that pesky o ring. Going to order one of them to have in my tool box just in case.

You might have a wiring issue to the cam sensor, everyone was saying it would not start if that sensor was duff. I dont' know and dont have time at the minute to go unplug mine and see if it starts.
