Upgrading from a Freelander to a Vogue - Some Questions

I bought a 2002 4.4 Vogue with LPG conversion about 4 weeks ago. Fuel cost on LPG is about 18p per mile in general use and 15p per mile on a long run at around 70mph. I found working out the mpg depressing after selling an X Type diesel. Consumption will be 10-20% higher using LPG as it has (I...

    Lpg

MRH are on 01992 550026/582628. I think the LPG installer is Gerry. Just for info, because the tank is pressurized, you cannot fill it completely so an 80 litre tank will only take 70ish litres of LPG.

    power box 2

Just to be balanced, I bought one for my old diesel Rover 75 and was very underwhelmed with the increase in performance. It cost over £400 as I recall. By contrast, I bought an £80 box of tricks for my X Type diesel (which connected to the fuel rail sensor and fooled the cpu into thinking fuel...

    Lpg

Speak to the guys at MRH in Hertford, Hertfordshire. They are doing some warranty work for me and know (and install) LPG systems and land rovers inside out. They are probably too far from you to do the installation work but I am sure they will advise you, I have found them exceptionally helpful.

    Lpg

I bought my RR with LPG already installed so I cant help you with recommending installers in Hampshire. A couple of things to consider though:- 1/ The calorific value of LPG is less than petrol so fuel consumption will be between 10 and 20% higher than running on petrol 2/LPG is currently...

    I bought a backup 4x4 to the P38

I went to Devils Pit in Bedfordshire a few years back and someone turned up in one. Everyone laughed at it ................until they saw how good it was on easy and medium off road challenges. It obviously couldn't do the really difficult stuff like the modified landies could but it was really...

What would you swap your rangie for?

Only had my L322 a couple of weeks but may go for an early Classic 3 door sometime in the future or a petrol 'Air Portable'. But if the UK economy goes totally belly up, I heard CBoardman bikes are pretty impressive!

L322 RR HSE central locking problem

My son has a TD5 Discovery with a similar problem. He thinks he will have to replace the latch at some time but its not really a big problem for him as he rarely takes people in the back. Suggest you get someone to take door card off and check it out. It could just need cleaning up and...

l322 trim levels query, are you familiar with marque?

I have just bought a 2002 Vogue after looking at a few HSE's. The seats in a Vogue are a softer leather and I find them much more comfortable. The HSE seats seemed much harder and cheaper in comparison, more like the ones in my old X type. The whole Vogue interior felt nicer to me (IMHO)...

LPG control switch - 4 flashing greens

A bit of advice please. Bought a petrol Vogue last week with LPG. The tank capacity is 95 litres. It has a BRC lpg system c2008. The level went down to one green light on the LPG control switch (a quarter full) so I filled the tank with 45 litres of gas. As the last bit went in, the pump shut...

    2002 TD6 HSE with 200,000 miles?!!!!

Quite a few olders 4.4's have been converted to LPG. Have you considered one of these? This gives the power and refinement of the V8 with fuel costs that are similar to the TD6. I have just bought one and its quite nice putting 30 litres of fuel in and getting change from £20.00. Be aware...
