my hk unit has stopped playing have read threads on here and so many diff answers can i change to a after sales unit or do i have to buy hk unit from new if you can still get them?

some people claim to have fitted after-market units and found harnesses or good electricians who could get it all to work. Generally I think you end up sacrificing the steering wheel mounted controls. There are alternatively those who have their original units refurbed. You can look at either option. I don't think you can buy a new original anymore, except perhaps directly from Land Rover.

What do you mean by your hk unit? I thought the speakers were HK and the head unit was either Clarion or Alpine.
Clarion head units can be reconditioned for a fixed price either by Clarion or other companies. not sure about the Alpine ones.
