Try disconnecting/cleaning/refitting all electrical connections in LHS boot compartment. I did this to fix a tv screen fault and it cured my pixel problem too. This compartment is where all the radio/tv/satnav/amplifier bits live and is susceptable to water ingress and damage.
I have a BRC sequential setup on my L322 and it works fine. Cant tell whether its running on LPG or petrol its so smooth. Uses marginally more fuel on LPG but its hardly noticible.
Consider a V8 with LPG conversion. You get V8 power and refinement and diesel running costs. I dont think either the V8 or diesel came with a manual box, they are all auto's. The Vogue is well spec'd and has finer leather than the HSE which is why they are more sought after. They cost around...
Matt,
Before you go through insurance, get a quote for repairs and see if she will pay for it.
It may be in her interest to do so to protect her NCB and excess and it will save you a lot of grief for the next 5 years (and probably expense too)when you apply for insurance quotes and fill in...
A word of warning. I have one (from Maplins) and my daughter spotted it and asked me why I had left a laptop on open view in my car. If she can mistake it for a laptop, then so can a thief.
I put mine in the sunroof now, not so much power but hidden from view.
Bought my 2002 Vogue already converted. Registered as an 'Alternative Fuel Car'. RLF is £235 for a year.
Fuel cost is about 40% less than running on petrol when you factor in LPG cost and 10% less mpg on LPG.
Cant tell whether its running on LPG or petrol without looking at the selector...
I have had this problem with mine. It was driving me mad on a long run so I took it to a LR specialist and the mechanic took it out for a spin. He noticed the pull to the left was more severe under power and said it appeared to be steering from the rear slightly.
They took it in and examined...
My 4.4 was already converted when I bought it. Sequential LPG conversions start at around £1500.
I think I have worked this out correctly :- assuming MPG on petrol is 17 and 15 on LPG (you get slightly less on LPG) and assuming petrol is £5.36 per gallon (£1.18 per litre) and LPG is £2.90 per...
Liam,
Mine is an L322 4.4 with BRC LPG. The 10mm pipe you are referring to (on my car) runs from the evaporator, along the centre of the V in the engine and is connected to a metal tube right at the back of the engine. It is close to the electronic control box but I dont think it connects to...
Hi Saulmac, welcome to forum.
I was in a similar position to you about 3 months ago. I found a dealer who had a TD6 and a 4.4 petrol with LPG and test drove them both. I preferred the 4.4 LPG (smoother, quieter and more powerful) and bought it. I cant tell whether its running on petrol or LPG...
I have a 2002 4.4 Vogue with LPG conversion. It is shown on the logbook as an 'alternative fuel vehicle'.
RFL is £235 per year.
Averages 18.5mpg on petrol (you have to run on petrol for the first couple of minutes till the temperature is high enough to vapourise the LPG properly) and a...
I think it is pretty sad that the UK has sold off all its silverware and what were British marques such as Land Rover, Jaguar, Rolls Royce, Bentley ( I could go on) are all now foreign owned. Where did it all go wrong?
If you like the car and it does everything you want, I think you should keep it and get it repaired. I would fit a recon unit myself, if it comes from a reputable source, it should have been done properly and should come with a warranty.
I bought a 2002 Vogue six weeks ago 114k which is still under the dealers warranty. The suspension works fine on all settings when driving but the left hand side of the car was dropping when the car was left overnight. The wheels were 3 - 4 cm lower than the RHS.
I took the car back to the...
Check you lower tailgate is shutting properly. Mine often locks on the RHS but not on the left and needs and extra shove to throw the LHS lock.
Just a thought!

I waxoyl'd my old classic a few years back. Just hosed the underside and bruched the waxoyl on by hand. It was messy but if you wear goggles, gloves and an old boiler suit, it doesnt take that long. Started off using a compressor but it was messy and would have ended up with wax all over my...
Mine was just under £12k with 113k on the clock. If you buy one without the LPG, it will cost you £2 - 2.5k to have it installed. Recommend a good quality LPG kit, I had a look under the engine cover of mine and its pretty complicated - LPG ECU, evaporator, water hoses to rad, gas hoses to two...
