What have you done to your Landie today.

The Landrover has been good to me the last few weeks so I decided to treat her and give it a real good clean inside and out, I treated all the black plastic with black wow (great stuff) The landy came up a treat, looks almost new, not bad for a 17 year old vehicle

    My first ever Landy.

Personally I woudnt put alot of money into it untill you know for sure it will be accepted as LEZ compliant. It would be a shame to sell the mini, put in a huge amount doing up the landy and then have to sell it.

    Poly bushes, need to declare?

As above, thinking about fitting polybushes simply because of the ease of fitting but do you need to declare them to your insurance company?

Buying first defender 90, advice please

For that sort of money you could buy a nearly new one (less than 10k miles) if you wanted a posh xs version. My advice would be to go and have a good look at them, is the 90 big enough for example? ask for an extended test drive and see how you feel after an hours driving, the new ones are...

Buying first defender 90, advice please

Just my opinion but if I was buying a vehicle to do 35K a year id prefer to driver a discovery commercial to a defender. I read this thread re nene the other day, maybe worth reading http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/my-land-rover-hell-110-defender-icon-211079.html

    defender heater

When I first bought my 300 tdi I thought the heater was rubbish but I adjusted the heater cables on the matrix and now its nice and warm, even in the cold weather, so much so I have to turn it down because it gets too warm. You need to make sure that the cable from the dash heat control is...

    MOT and then some.....

I think that post is in relation to his renewal, the next post on page 12 he says 28th update: Well the engineers report arrived today. It states that the vehicle suffered minor rear end damage but is judged to be a write off due to requiring specialist repair. However, the covering letter...

Hi Ive done a search but cant find alot of info. Ive got some decent physical security on my 90 (disklok, getting pedalbox fitted soon) but I wouldnt mind an alarm even if it only goes off for 10-20 secs or so to alert me if anyone messes with my landy when im asleep. While I...

    My first ever Landy.

Regarding LEZ Ive got a 1996 defender and got round the lez by fitting rear windows, taking pics and sending them off, I think if your vehicle is pre 1998 you ahve a decent chance as you dont have to get the v5 change, after 1998 it seems you have zero chance as the DVLA wnt change it without...
