ATF in general looking at castrol site it is 75W 90

What i have done is change brake fluid no problem, but as its same tank thought i would bleed clutch through as well. It is working but seems to go down along way B4 disengaugeing. I toped up as i went along no air allowed in

now i dont know what spec MTF and ATF are, but the 75 w 90 was told to me by a guy who has been working on Landies for 30 years has his own garage

Is semi synthetic 75W 90 oil ok for my Disco TD5 manuel gearbox.

Ian not missing any points am i. Engine not runing top fluid up apply pressure to pedal slacken bleed screw press pedal tighten up bleed raise pedal and repeat several times. No need to have engine runing is there?

yes i agree i change all filts and fluids every 5000. just wounded what every one uses in G/Bs

Rule out the obvious first wheel bearings track rod ends bushes will engine tickover nice and smoth

do check that rea prop coupling, it can clunk when moving off either way. From memory the bolts where F/T BUT ONCE RESEATED IT WAS FINE. cATCH YOU LATTER IAM OFF TO STEAM RALLY OPP CAPS ON Marm

from experiance with same probs on TD5. I f drains outlets are ok it will be geting under the mani sunroof frame and car roof. Its a big job to take complete sunroof out, so i run the silo gun round about every 6 mths. Disco bodies flex alot which brakes down the seal
