agreed, you are correct. i will check thoroughly the underside and body. i never had a landy before, tomorrow i am going with the owner of the 50th to jack up the car, and check the underside, is there anything specific i should look out for or just the usual rotting please? thank you...

mikeh501: as from 2007 the car was sitting in a private collection and did not get driven on salty roads. in fact from 2007 to date just 5k miles was recorded. should i be worried for rust you think?

hello... 50th is winning at the moment. went to check her out again. condition is excellent. only cosmetic stuff that needs sorting out. bulkhead and cross member appear in good nick. mileage is a documented 48k. i think i will take the plunge :)

hi mikeh501 yes it is a galvanised chassis. i have just spoken to the owner again the engine is not an rpi engineering one, he bought loads of stuff for the engine but the engine itself came from bearmach. my fault got confused. would it still be a no brainer to buy this over the 50th please...
