    Hi my 2001 1.8 is very reliable 134.000 miles its good on fuel only bother is the sensors keep needing reset ie intermittent abs. hdc tc so you can get good ones

    they are a pain I have just got mine to work after changing sensors cleaning relays and the earth connections on the inner wings the lights are working as they should

    well its the offside sensor that's faulty giving low voltage last time it was the nearside so here goes again hopefully this will be the end of the light saga as I like the way the hippo drives but faults are a right pain

    Hi Barry my lights came back on again today I am taking it to get it on the computer tomorrow as its driving me nuts the peddle switch should be up against the throttle pedal bracket if its not just push the centre thru you will hear it click

    well I have just found out there is a throttle switch at the peddle that also affects the abs trc hdc I reset it now my three amigos are working as they should so I hope it keeps working

    I have just cleaned the front reluctor rings with switch cleaner and my old .308 rifle wire brush spraying the cleaner thru the sensor hole and scrubbing the ring at the inspection hole both were covered in mud etc now the lights are working as they should surly the inspection holes should...

    you can only see the ring if the sensor is removed or a harder way is the inspection hole underneath

    Hi Hippo yes I have a multi meter they all read ok on the ohms and give voltage when a bit of metal is passed back and forth in front of the sensor

    Hi Hippo I did have it tested by a 4x4 garage the fault was front nearside sensor I replaced it and its still the same it was an ebay sensor I will have to get another one but don't want to pay £144 for it just to do the same blooming thing

    Hi Hippo I know what you are saying but its not really anything with the actual brakes that's causing the lights to keep coming on its the sensors or some other electrical fault that is causing the problem as the brake shoes and front discs and pads are all new its got me puzzled

    well the lights are still playing funny bug gers they go off as they should when I drive to the sons playschool then on the way home the lights come on when driving or if I stop at the shop then head home other times they will stay off for more than 12 miles then come on I have tried...

    rear brake clicking sound

    update ok I tried adjusting the brake shoes and looked for any scrape marks etc but could not see any so today I swapped the drums over and now the clicking has stopped so ill wait and see if the clicking returns again
